Tortolita Is Not Hit As Hard As Tucson By Housing Slump
If you look at the numbers only, one would think real estate has completely died in the Tucson area. But if you look closer you will see that in the Tortolita Area of Oro Valley, Marana, and Pima County is still going nicely thank you. Oh, of course sales and prices are down a bit, especially in Dove Mountain and parts of Ranchp Vistoso. But the luxury end of all that is still doing okay. It seems that people with money that doesn’t directly depend on the economy (price of gas, food etc is not an issue) are still buying land to build there 2nd, 3rd, or 4th home. And they also are still buying top end million dollar estates, but they are trying to beat the prices down as they have heard it is a buyers market. And it truly is. But if they get the “value” they feel is fair, they are still buying. If anyone has numbers to dispute this please let us know (not rumors but facts please). At the end of the day in the Tortolita Area it is about lifestyle. And we have it here in spades…..Samuel
